There’s a new reason to spend every Second Sunday along the Oakland waterfront. Beginning June 14, The Lumpia Company at Brooklyn Basin launches Sundays B.E.S.T., a new gathering celebrating great music, food, community, and waterfront vibes. Held inside the neighborhood’s lively waterfront flagship, mere steps from Caspian Residences, this monthly event invites neighbors, families, and visitors to gather for an afternoon of beats, eats, sips, and treats while enjoying one of Oakland’s most scenic destinations.

Music takes center stage with beats by BSTRUT, SKOOTER, and special guest DJ Jaybee, spinning the kind of head-nodding classics and crowd favorites that will have you singing along all afternoon. The energy naturally spills outdoors to nearby Township Commons Park, where guests can bring their roller skates, soak up the sunshine, and show off their moves against some of the Bay Area’s most beautiful waterfront backdrops. Between the boardwalk, open lawns, public art, and sweeping Estuary views, it’s easy to see why Township Commons has become one of Oakland’s favorite gathering places.

Inside The Lumpia Company—co-owned by Bay Area icon E-40—the menu delivers Filipino-inspired comfort food perfect for a leisurely Sunday brunch. Favorites include Lumpia Flights, Bistek Steak and Egg Rice Bowls, Garlic Pancit Noodles, Sisig Fries, and creative takes on classic Filipino flavors. Don’t skimp on ordering your favorite TLC Dole Whip cone! Guests can also indulge in sweet treats from local favorites Ube Bae and Cris Creationz. Expect mochi muffins, ube cookies, and ube churro cheesecake from The Ube Bae, alongside musubi, Dubai croissants, crinkle cookies, Señorita bread, boba drinks, and Push Pop ice cream from @criscreationz510 & SweetNess. Elevated Gemstones will also be on-site offering handmade jewelry, gemstones, and unique artisan goods.

Doors open at 11AM, with street parking available nearby and additional parking at Embarcadero and 8th Avenue, though rideshare is encouraged. Best of all, Sundays B.E.S.T. is designed for everyone, including the family dog.
